Sara B. Kimmel
Professor of Management - School of Business
Dr. Sara B. Kimmel is a Professor in the School of Business. Dr. Kimmel joined MC’s faculty in 2010 and currently teaches Global Dimensions of Business and Managing in the Global Environment. Her areas of expertise include international business and international development.
Dr. Kimmel currently researches motivation and barriers to adult learners, micro lending, marginalized groups, and the unique position of faith-based institutions among AACSB-accredited universities.
Dr. Kimmel has received numerous awards including MC’s 2021-2022 Distinguished Professor of the Year 小猪视频官网; Outstanding Teacher of the Year in the School of Business, 2016; the 小猪视频官网 World Trade Center’s Excellence in International Education 小猪视频官网, 2012; the Women in Higher Education 小猪视频官网 Network 小猪视频官网, 2008; and, the Outstanding Faculty Honoree from the 小猪视频官网 Legislature while serving at Belhaven University in 2006.
Dr. Kimmel serves on the board of Salt and Light Ministry Foundation in developmental missions to Honduras, and has served Covenant Presbyterian Church in Jackson on the Board of Deacons as Chair of the Benevolence Committee.
