Tate named vice president of marketing communications at СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø College

CLINTON, Miss.— Jenny Tate, a 2006 alumnus of СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø College, comes home to СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø College to lead marketing and communications efforts for СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø’s oldest institution of higher learning. She began her new role on Sept. 3.

In this role, Tate will oversee all communications, marketing, branding, events and public relations for СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø College. She brings more than a decade of higher education experience with her.

Tate returns to her native СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø from Columbia, South Carolina after broadening her skills in higher education communications and marketing at the University of South Carolina, where she most recently served as Director of Marketing Communications. While at USC, Tate executed marketing strategy in alignment with the university’s strategic priorities, managed the flagship institution’s largest marketing communications initiatives, and oversaw unique communications projects and multiple staff members.

Before her work at the University of South Carolina, Tate served as Associate Director of University Communications and Gulf Park Campus Communication Officer at The University of Southern СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø. Prior to higher education, she led communications and marketing for the СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Museum of Art in Jackson, СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø.

Tate earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø College. She earned a master’s of communication studies and a doctorate of education in higher education administration from The University of Southern СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø.

“This is an inspiring time to be at MC and be a part of the institution’s future, and I am honored to lead communications and marketing for such an extraordinary institution,” Tate said. “СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø College is very special to me. It’s where I met my lifelong friends which also led to an introduction to my husband.”

Tate is married to Richard Ladner, a 2004 marketing and 2005 MBA graduate of СÖíÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø College.
