Gifts-in-Kind

Gifts-in-kind include all gifts other than cash or negotiable instrument

A gift-in-kind is a gift other than cash or negotiable instrument such as equipment, commodities, artifacts, supplies, and real estate.

In-kind gifts are accepted only after the usefulness of the gift to СÖíÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø College has been determined. If the gift cannot be used in the best interest of the University, the donor will be notified. Once the in-kind gift is deemed acceptable, the gift documentation will be returned to the MC Foundation for gift receipting.  IRS regulations do not allow the university to state a value for the gift on the gift receipt.  The donor is responsible for stating the value of the deduction.

The IRS has special requirements for gifts-in-kind. If you are considering such a gift, please contact the MC Foundation at 601.925.3968.
